Munich, Salzburg, Hallstatt

Munich, Salzburg, Hallstatt

In 2014, I went to these 3 towns (and Prague and Cesky Krumlov in the same trip) with the 8 travel girls. These 3 places were amazing. Munich, big city- Salzburg, medium town- Hallstatt, small village..Size didn't matter, each of these places had tons to do.

  • What I can do for you:

  • Hook you up with super fun activities (ice caves, Sound of Music bike tours, salt mines)
  • Steer you in the direction of good food
  • Give you choices of well located hotels

  • Budget:

  • airfare about $1100 from DFW
  • hotels Munich- $120+,   Salzburg- $130+,   Hallstatt- $175+
  • food $50-$60 pp per day

Munich - great neighborhoods, markets, beer gardens, and the famous Rathaus-Glockenspiel... Palaces, crown jewels, great halls, and guys wearing lederhosen.

A short bus ride out of town is Dachau Concentration Camp- sobering place to visit- well done museum to put it in perspective.

Salzburg- The Sound of Music bike ride, big castles, fun shopping, and a Mozart concert

Hallstatt- stunning beauty and a beautiful cemetery

Side trips from Hallstatt include Salt Mine tour, Ice Caves and scary overlooks that aren't even open until May 1st due to snow
