Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks

Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks

My family went to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks when the kids were in elementary school.  It was a great family vacation.  It is difficult to get there so you should try and see both parks on the same vacation. But if you only have time for one National Park, look through these pictures and pick your park!

  • What I can do for you:

  • Find hotels or  accommodations available inside the park
  • Suggest hikes that fit your abilities
  • Tell you about getting around inside the parks.
  •
  • Budget

  • You can do these parks as a driving road trip- you will need 2 weeks or if time is tighter you can fly- there are several options available- airfare from DFW will run $200-$600 depending on the arrival airport.
  • Hotels will cost $135- $350 a night depending on location
  • Food will be more expensive in the parks and a bit more expensive than your home town food.

Yellowstone has some of the most unusual sights. Geyers, hot pools, bubbling mud and lots of wildlife-it is a great place.

Glacier was special because of the snow hiking.  It was also great because we stayed one night in the park and 3 nights in a retrofitted train car complete with a kitchen!
